Has Virender Sehwag Reconciled With Wife Aarti, or Was There Never a Rift in Their Relationship?

New Delhi: Virender Sehwag (Sehwag), regarded as one of the most explosive batsmen in cricket history after Viv Richards, has largely been in the news over the years for cricket-related matters. However, a previous report had mentioned speculation about an alleged rift in his relationship with wife Aarti (Aarti), and the subject has surfaced once again. Going by what Viru Dada said in an interview connected with a reality show, however, it appears that there may never have been any rift in his relationship with Aarti.

Naturally, neither Sehwag nor Aarti had ever issued any official statement about the alleged rift. However, speculation has now emerged from a report in a leading English daily that even if there had been any problems in their relationship, the couple may have privately resolved them. Earlier, there had been speculation that Sehwag and Aarti had been living separately since January 2025.

The premiere of the reality show ‘Rise and Fall 2’ is scheduled for September 26, with Sehwag serving as its host. He chose not to comment on the speculation surrounding an alleged rift with his wife. Instead, during an interview, he told the interviewer that if a biopic were ever made on his life, it should be based on his love story with wife Aarti.

When Sehwag was asked in the interview whether a biopic should be made about his life, he immediately referred to his married life with Aarti and said, “Of course… my love story should be an important part of the film.”

It is worth mentioning that Sehwag runs school, including the Sehwag International School, where several children study. Both Sehwag and Aarti’s sons — 18-year-old Aryavir and 16-year-old Vedant — are promising cricketers. Aryavir is currently a member of the India A team playing against Australia A.
