3 killed in Dwarka Sector 13 Delhi Apartment Fire as Father, Two Children Jump off 7th Floor

A devastating fire at a multi-story residential building in Delhi’s Dwarka Sector 13 resulted in three fatalities on Tuesday morning, with a father and his two young children losing their lives after jumping from their seventh-floor apartment.
The victims include 10-year-old twins, a boy and girl, who leaped from their balcony as flames engulfed the building around 10 AM. Emergency responders transported the children to a nearby medical facility, where medical staff pronounced them dead on arrival. Their father, Yash Yadav, subsequently jumped from the same balcony and was declared deceased upon reaching IGI hospital.
Fire department officials deployed eight fire engines to combat the blaze in the residential complex. Emergency crews continue working to suppress the flames and secure the building.
Two family members survived the incident – Yadav’s wife and eldest son were successfully rescued from the burning structure. Both survivors have been admitted to IGI hospital for medical care following their ordeal.
Safety protocols were immediately implemented as authorities evacuated all building residents from the premises. Utility services including electrical power and PNG gas connections to the affected structure have been disconnected as a precautionary measure.
Firefighting personnel remain on scene conducting intensive operations to fully extinguish the blaze and prevent its spread to adjacent areas.
