On May 7, 2025, Rajesh Narwal, father of Indian Navy Lieutenant Vinay Narwal, who was killed in a terror attack in Pahalgam, expressed approval of the Indian government’s response, known as Operation Sindoor. Speaking to the media, Narwal acknowledged the irreversible loss faced by the families of the victims, emphasizing that while nothing can bring back those lost, the operation was a necessary step to deter future attacks.
“The Indian government has made the right move. This strike sends a clear message that such acts will face severe consequences, discouraging anyone from attempting them again,” Narwal stated.
He further described the name “Operation Sindoor” as fitting and said the action would deliver justice to the 26 families affected by the tragedy.
