Tehran Sees Power Outages After Israel Missile Attack; 3 Indonesian Peacekeepers Killed In Lebanon

New Delhi : The monthlong war between the US, Israel, and Iran-backed forces is intensifying. US President Donald Trump has warned Iran of severe strikes on energy and civilian infrastructure if no deal is reached soon, while Iran denies any negotiations are taking place. The war is also affecting global energy prices and trade. The Czech Republic plans to release 100,000 metric tons of oil from reserves, while US gasoline prices continue to rise.
The situation remains fluid, with both diplomatic and military developments shaping the next phase of this volatile war. Amid the uncertainties, The Wall Street Journal, citing US officials, reported that President Donald Trump has told his aides he is prepared to end the war in Iran even if the strategic Strait of Hormuz remains mostly closed. In a post on X, the IDF said, “IDF continues to deepen the damage to the infrastructures of the Iranian terror regime: Another wave of strikes completed in Tehran.
Earlier, it had said that eight ballistic missiles launched towards Riyadh and other areas were also intercepted. The Israel Defense Forces has issued a warning to residents in Vardavard, on the western outskirts of Tehran, about a possible attack within the next four hours. The message was posted on the military’s Farsi account on X at around 6am local time. It asked people to “remain in your homes and not leave the area for the next four hours” and to “strictly refrain from approaching this area.”
According to the group, the strike took place around 3am GMT and involved a “swarm of attack drones”. This was the third attack announced by Hezbollah on the same morning, as cross-border tensions continue to escalate. Iran’s semi‑official Fars news agency said the recent power outages in Tehran were caused by shrapnel striking an electrical substation in the east of the city.
