Shefali Jariwala, Iconic Kaanta Laga Star, Dies at 42

Mumbai – Actor Shefali Jariwala, widely recognized for her role in the 2002 music video Kaanta Laga and her appearance on Bigg Boss 13, passed away at the age of 42 due to a cardiac arrest on Friday night. According to India Today, her husband, actor Parag Tyagi, rushed her to a hospital in Mumbai, where she was pronounced dead on arrival. Her body was subsequently transferred to Cooper Hospital for a postmortem examination.

Jariwala rose to fame with her bold performance in the Kaanta Laga music video, which became a cultural phenomenon in the early 2000s, earning her the nickname “Kaanta Laga Girl.” She later appeared in the 2004 Bollywood film Mujhse Shaadi Karogi, starring Salman Khan, Akshay Kumar, and Priyanka Chopra, in a special role. Her television career included participation in reality shows such as Nach Baliye 5 and Nach Baliye 7 alongside her husband, Parag Tyagi, whom she married in 2015.

The sudden loss of the actor has sent shockwaves through the entertainment industry, with fans and colleagues mourning her untimely demise. The exact cause of death awaits confirmation from the postmortem report.
