PM to Hand Over Social Media Accounts to Women on International Women’s Day On the occasion of International Women’s Day 2025, Prime Minister Narendra Modi extended his wishes and announced a unique initiative to honor women’s achievements. In a video message shared on X, he revealed that his social media handles would be managed by women making significant contributions in various fields.
The world is marking International Women’s Day on March 8, 2025, under the theme “For ALL Women and Girls: Rights. Equality. Empowerment.” PM Modi emphasized that his government remains committed to empowering women.

Speaking at an event in Surat, Gujarat, PM Modi recalled encouraging women to share their success stories on the NaMo app. “Many sisters and daughters have shared their inspiring journeys. On this special occasion, I will hand over my social media accounts to some of these remarkable women,” he stated.

BJP Leaders Extend Women’s Day Wishes
BJP National President JP Nadda also expressed his admiration for women, writing on X, “I salute all mothers and extend my heartfelt wishes. Women’s sacrifices, dedication, and contributions have strengthened our nation. Under PM Modi’s leadership, women-friendly policies have empowered them to take the lead in development.”
Union Minister Nitin Gadkari echoed similar sentiments, posting, “Salute to the women power shaping and enriching society. Heartiest wishes to all on International Women’s Day.”
