Oscars 2025: Where to Watch the 97th Academy Awards in India
Hosted by Conan O’Brien, the ceremony will feature performances by Ariana Grande, Blackpink’s Lisa, and a tribute to Quincy Jones.

Film fans in India can mark their calendars: the 97th Academy Awards will air live from Hollywood’s Dolby Theatre on Sunday, March 3, starting at 5:30 AM IST. The event will be broadcast on Star Movies and streamed live on JioHotstar. For those unable to wake up early, a replay will be available on JioHotstar after the live show.
This year’s Oscars will be hosted by Emmy-winning comedian and TV personality Conan O’Brien, marking his debut as the ceremony’s host. Known for his sharp humor and previous Emmy-hosting gigs in 2002 and 2006, O’Brien is expected to add a lively touch to Hollywood’s biggest night.
The star-studded event will include a special musical tribute to Quincy Jones, the iconic producer and 28-time Grammy winner, performed by rapper-singer Queen Latifah. “This year, we’re thrilled to present a special musical tribute celebrating Quincy Jones’ legendary contributions to music,” said executive producer Raj Kapoor during a press briefing, as reported by Variety.
Fans can also look forward to a Wicked medley by singers Ariana Grande and Cynthia Erivo, alongside performances by Blackpink’s Lisa who recently starred in The White Lotus—Doja Cat, and British singer Raye.
The Oscars nominations, announced in January after voting was extended twice due to devastating wildfires in Los Angeles, include notable contenders.
Timothée Chalamet earned a Best Actor nod for his role as Bob Dylan in A Complete Unknown,

competing against veterans like Adrien Brody (The Brutalist), who became the youngest Best Actor winner at 29 for The Pianist (2003).

Other nominees include Colman Domingo (Sing Sing),

Ralph Fiennes (Conclave), and Sebastian Stan (The Apprentice).

With a mix of fresh faces and seasoned talent, the 97th Oscars promise glamour, emotion, and surprises all accessible to Indian audiences at dawn this Sunday.
