‘Open the Fu**ing Strait’: Trump Threatens To Unleash Hell on Iran If Hormuz Doesn’t Open by Tuesday

US President Donald Trump dramatically escalated his warnings against Iran on Sunday, April 5, vowing to launch massive attacks on Iranian energy infrastructure and declaring Tuesday would be “power plant day and bridge day all wrapped in one” in Iran, adding that there would be “nothing like it.”

In a post on Truth Social, Trump used explicit language and invoked the name of Allah while issuing a blunt ultimatum to Tehran. “Open the F***in’ strait, you crazy ba***rds, or you’ll be living in hell just watch! Praise be to Allah,” he wrote. The remarks drew attention for their sharp departure from the diplomatic language typically associated with an American president and Commander-in-Chief.

The outburst is part of Trump’s sustained pressure campaign on Tehran to reopen the Strait of Hormuz the strategically critical waterway through which a significant share of the world’s oil supply passes which has emerged as a major flashpoint in the worsening standoff between Washington and Tehran.

A day earlier, on Saturday, Trump returned to Truth Social to renew his ultimatum following a strike near an Iranian nuclear facility and the reported downing of a US aircraft. Referencing a previously issued 10-day negotiation window, he warned that time was nearly up. “Remember when I gave Iran ten days to MAKE A DEAL or OPEN UP THE HORMUZ STRAIT. Time is running out, 48 hours before all hell rains down on them. Glory be to God!, President DONALD J. TRUMP,” he wrote.

Iran has effectively blocked shipping through the Strait of Hormuz since February 28, when a US-Israel bombing campaign targeting the Islamic Republic’s top leadership including Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei and senior IRGC officials triggered the conflict.

Since late March, however, Iran has shifted from a complete blockade to a selective transit policy it calls “Friendly Nation” passage. Under this arrangement, the Strait remains closed to US- and Israeli-linked vessels, while Tehran has opened a controlled corridor for countries it considers non-hostile.
