NSA Ajit Doval Meets PM Modi Day Before Security Drill

National Security Advisor Ajit Doval held discussions with Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday, one day before scheduled nationwide security exercises. The meeting comes amid heightened tensions along the Line of Control, where cross-border firing persisted for the 12th consecutive night.

Small-arms fire was reported in regions facing Jammu and Kashmir’s Kupwara, Baramulla, Poonch, Rajouri, Mendhar, Naushera, Sunderbani, and Akhnoor sectors, with the Indian Army responding proportionately. Concurrently, closed-door talks began at the United Nations Security Council following Islamabad’s request to address the escalating situation.
