Meerut woman was seen enjoying the snowfall with her lover and co-accused in Manali, attending a Holi party, and staying in Kasol, where her lover’s birthday was celebrated. After murdering her 29-year-old husband, Saurabh Rajput, Muskan Rastogi and her boyfriend, Sahil Shukla, both 27, checked into Hotel Purnima in Kasol on March 10. They stayed in Room 203 for six days and checked out on March 16.
They were in Manali before arriving in Kasol. The two had taken a taxi to the hotel in Kasol, a hotel staff member told media. The hotel staff further said the couple had behaved oddly since their arrival and had stepped out of their room only once a day for a short time. Sahil submitted his ID while checking in. However, he refused to hand over Muskan’s ID, claiming that she was his wife.
They stayed in the guest room all the time. They ordered food to their room only. Generally, guests go out sightseeing when they come to Kasol. In six days, they called for cleaning services only once. When asked about any birthday celebrations, the staff member said he had no idea. He added that the couple checked out on March 16, telling the staff they were returning to Uttar Pradesh.
Muskan and Sahil were driven around by a cab driver named Ajab Singh. Ajab Singh told India Today TV that based on their behaviour, it didn’t feel like they had just committed a murder. The driver added that throughout the journey, the two barely spoke to each other. Muskan only received two calls from her mother during the trip.
Muskan drank three cans of beer brought from Shamli after arriving in Himachal. He said the two celebrated Holi with great enthusiasm. Muskan used to communicate with the driver only through WhatsApp calls. Another video of the couple has surfaced, showing them attending a Holi party. However, there is no clarity on where and when the video was shot.
Muskan is seen celebrating Sahil’s birthday in Kasol, feeding him cake before kissing him. According to our sources, Muskan and Sahil left for Himachal soon after killing Saurabh on March 4. Saurabh was murdered on the night of March 4 when Muskan laced his food with drugs. She then called her lover Sahil, and together they stabbed Saurabh with a butcher’s knife before slitting his throat. Subsequently, they chopped his body into several pieces, sealed it inside a drum, and filled it with cement.
