Massive Deadly Wildfire Spreads Across Arunachal Pradesh Near Indo-China Border, Video Viral | (WATCH)

A significant forest fire erupted in the Nadipar area near Dirang town, located in Arunachal Pradesh’s West Kameng district, but was successfully brought under control by Thursday evening, April 24.

The fire engulfed multiple acres of forest, prompting an immediate and coordinated response. Thankfully, authorities confirmed that there were no injuries or damage to property.

Speaking to ANI, Dirang MLA Phurpa Tsering credited the swift containment to the combined efforts of the Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP), local police, fire brigade, district authorities, and community volunteers.

“There were no casualties or property damage,” Tsering stated, commending the teamwork and timely action of all emergency responders.

While the majority of the fire had been doused by Thursday night, Arunachal Pradesh Police shared on social media that operations continued into Friday to tackle isolated fire spots. The force also praised the tireless work of those involved.

This marks the second major fire incident in the district this year. Back in February, a large blaze swept through Tenga market in the early morning hours. The Indian Army’s Gajraj Corps responded rapidly, deploying fire tenders and ensuring the safety of local residents.

As per the official report, the Army’s swift action once again highlighted the strong civil-military cooperation prevalent in the region.
