JD Vance’s Big claim on India-Pakistan; US Vice President says Conflict ‘None of Our Business’

U.S. Vice President JD Vance on Thursday said the escalating conflict between India and Pakistan is “fundamentally none of our business,” asserting that the United States cannot control the actions of either nation. Speaking to Fox News, Vance emphasized that while the U.S. prefers a swift de-escalation, the dispute is beyond American influence.
“India has its grievances with Pakistan, and Pakistan has responded accordingly,” Vance said. “We can urge both sides to de-escalate, but we will not involve ourselves in a war that has nothing to do with America’s control or interests.”
His remarks follow President Donald Trump’s earlier comments describing the rising tensions as “terrible.” Asked about his stance, Trump said he has good relations with both countries and hopes they can resolve their differences.
“I know both very well, and I want to see them stop,” Trump said at the White House. “They’ve gone tit-for-tat, and hopefully, that ends now.”
India launched Operation Sindoor on Tuesday night, targeting nine terror sites in Pakistan. The strikes came in response to the deadly attack in Pahalgam, which claimed 26 lives.
