Future of travel : India eyes on launching of the Hyperloop?

India’s transport system is set to welcome a new major revolution by launching the India’s first hyperloop track is ready. If the trails of the same are successful, then this technology could be implemented on a large scale across the country.

What is hyperloop ?

Hyperloop is a transportation system that uses magnetic levitation to move pods at high speeds through low-pressure tubes. The concept was highlighted by Elon musk in the year 2023.Hyperloop is a futuristic technology in which a train travels at high speed inside a special vacuum tube. This technology will help the passengers to travel from a point to b point safely and in a fastest route possible.

Railway minister’s say :

India’s first hyper loop test track is ready, a 422 meter long test track has been developed by IIT Madras. IIT Madras has developed and supported this project with the help from Ministry of Railways , they have developed 422 meter long India’s first hyper loop test track , which can help to cover the distance of 300 kms in only 30 minutes, and allows a high speed train to travel in a near vacuum tube that speeds up to 1000 km/h .

Railway minister Ashwini Vaishnaw expressed is feelings by posting a tweet on his handle as ” Government-academia collaboration is driving innovation in futuristic transportation “,

If the hyperloop test track is implemented in reality than the actual distance which roughly is 300 kms between Delhi to Jaipur can easily be covered within 30 minutes. Railway minister furtherly added; “The first pod of 422 meters will go a long way in developing technologies” , “This will prove to be a very important step in promoting modern and innovative changes in the means of travel. Vaishnaw furtherly added , how the collaboration between the ministry and the educational institution has occurred due to the support of the Modi government, as Modi government wants to take country path in terms of the innovations as well.
