Shiv Sena (UBT) leader Sanjay Raut claimed that the RSS is set to pick a successor to Prime Minister Narendra Modi by September, Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis on Monday dismissed the claims, asserting that Modi will continue to hold the top office even after the 2029 Lok Sabha elections. Fadnavis said in Indian culture, the younger ones do not think this way while elders are present. This is Mughal culture.
Fadnavis was responding to Raut’s statement earlier in the day, in which he claimed that the real reason behind PM Modi’s visit to the RSS headquarters was to inform RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat of his retirement. Fanavis added Modi Ji is our leader, and he will continue to work in the future. Fadnavis added everyone wants to see Modi Ji as Prime Minister even in 2029. We are not worthy of discussing such matters
PM Modi became the first Prime Minister in the country to visit the RSS headquarters in Nagpur on Sunday. This comes at a time when the BJP leadership appears to be rekindling its ties with its ideological parent — working hand-in-hand to deliver stellar results in Haryana, Maharashtra and New Delhi — after relations soured during the last Lok Sabha elections.
