Dhanashree Verma to receive crores as alimony from Yuzvendra Chahal ?

Dhanashree Verma and Yuzvendra Chahal have been in limelight past months amid of the rumours of their divorce. The Bombay High Court has expedited the divorce process between Indian cricketer Yuzvendra Chahal and Dhanashree Verma by waiving the mandatory six-month cooling-off period.
The court’s decision comes ahead of Chahal’s commitments in the upcoming Indian Premier League 2025 season which starts from 22 March. Yuzvendra Chahal has agreed to provide Dhanashree Verma with a permanent alimony totaling RS. 4.75 crore. according to the sources, it said that till date the cricketer has paid rs 2.37 crore to his estranged wife. While the remaining amount scheduled for payment following the official decree of divorce.
The couple is said to be living separately since June 2022, has filed for a divorce by the mutual consent on February 5, 2025. However, the family court denied their request to waive the six-month cooling-off period, citing partial compliance with the consent terms initially the complete payment of the agreed alimony. As the cricketer has professional commitments and the couple’s extended period of separation, hence the Bombay high court has overturned the decision.
Yuzvendra chahal a prominent spinner and Dhanashree Verma is a well known choreographer and social media influencer. The duo got married in December 2020. Their separation in June 2022 led to the current divorce proceedings.
