Delhi CM Unveils Historic Rs 1 Lakh Crore Budget for 2025

Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta presented the city’s Rs 1 lakh crore budget for 2025, a 31.5% rise from the previous year. The budget is infrastructure, welfare, and safety-oriented, with Rs 28,000 crore for capital expenditure. Major initiatives are Rs 2,144 crore for the PM Jan Arogya Yojana, Rs 5,100 crore for a women’s stipend scheme, and Rs 696 crore for slum development.

The budget also allocates Rs 1,000 crore for transport and road infrastructure with proposals for enhanced connectivity in Delhi-NCR. For ensuring women’s safety, 50,000 more CCTV cameras will be installed throughout the city. CM Gupta reiterated that the new budget signifies an end to “corruption” and “inefficiency” and gives a high priority to urban development and public welfare.Global Investors Summit will be organised once in two years, Rs 9000 crore allocated to cleaning Yamuna, the government is set to built up new industrial policies , Rs 500 crore for STP plant in Delhi, RS 250 crore are being kept for the water treatment plant and Rs 200 crore will be spent to stop the water loss.
