Ahmedabad : A wall collapsed during construction work on Friday at Sundarpura village of Vijapur Taluka in Mehsana district. Following accident six labourers buried under the debris. Following an accident three labourers lost their lives, while three others sustained injuries and were rushed to the hospital for treatment.
Mishap took place when excavation was going on for a new building’s foundation in the Mahadevwala Vas area in Sundarpura. During the digging, the adjacent house’s wall suddenly collapsed and six workers trapped under the rubble.
Residents gathered at the site in large numbers after having information about the incident. Ambulance, quickly reached to the spot. All six workers pulled out from under the debris, but unfortunately, three were declared brought dead. The injured have been admitted to Vijapur Civil Hospital for further treatment. Authorities are currently investigating the matter.
