New Delhi : The Congress has a new Mani Shankar Aiyar”, BJP MP Sambit Patra likened Congress leader Ragini Nayak to the former Union Minister and lashed out at her after she took a jibe at Prime Minister Narendra Modi over his humble background. Nayak, former Delhi University Students’ Union president, stoked a major political row after she shared an AI-generated video on X that depicted PM Modi serving tea at what looked like a red-carpet event.
They are at it again. Ahead of the 2014 polls, Mani Shankar Aiyar had questioned PM Modi’s stature. He even went on to say that he will provide a tent where Modi can come and sell tea to Congress workers. Today, the Congress has found a new Mani Shankar Aiyar. We all know what happens to Congress whenever there is a new Mani Shankar Aiyar making the same tea seller jibe,” Patra said while addressing reporters outside the Parliament on Wednesday.

During the AICC meeting in January 2014, Congress veteran Mani Shankar Aiyar remarked that Modi would “never” become prime minister and, in a taunting tone, said he could instead come to the Congress gathering to serve tea.
