A British woman visiting India was reportedly raped by two men at a hotel in Delhi’s Mahipalpur area. She had traveled to meet one of the men, named Kailash, whom she had connected with on Instagram. The Delhi Police have arrested both suspects and informed the British High Commission about the incident.
What Happened
The woman, who lives in London, had been traveling in Maharashtra and Goa before deciding to meet Kailash in Delhi. She arrived on Tuesday evening and checked into a hotel. Kailash, a resident of East Delhi known for making Instagram reels, came to see her along with his friend Wasim. After dinner and drinks, the three went to her room. There, Kailash allegedly forced himself on her despite her objections. When she resisted, Wasim stepped in to quiet her down.
The police arrested Kailash on rape charges and Wasim for molestation. The investigation is ongoing.
