New Delhi : A poster war erupted between the Congress and the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Tuesday with both linking each other’s top leadership to Pakistani leaders. Amit Malviya took to social media to share a poster juxtaposing Rahul Gandhi’s face with Pakistan’s Army chief Asim Munir with ‘One Agenda’ written on it. “What’s next for Rahul Gandhi? The Nishan-e-Pakistan?” he wrote in the caption.
“He hasn’t congratulated the Prime Minister on the flawless Operation Sindoor, which unmistakably showcases India’s dominance. Instead, he repeatedly asks how many jets we lost—a question that has already been addressed in the DGMO briefings. Curiously, he hasn’t once inquired about how many Pakistani jets were shot down during the conflict, or how many were destroyed while parked in their hangars when Indian forces pounded Pakistani airbases,” he wrote on X.
They captioned the photo as “Ek biryani desh par bhari. The poster war stems from the opposition’s constant questions regarding Operation Sindoor and US President Donald Trump’s involvement in the India-Pakistan ceasefire. Leader of Opposition of Lok Sabha, Rahul Gandhi, has reiterated his claims that India maintained silence over the loss of assets during Operation Sindoor, calling it a “crime” to have informed Pakistan beforehand, while citing remarks made by Minister of External Affairs S Jaishankar.
India and Pakistan indulged in intense cross-border strikes after the latter launched unprovoked attacks following Indian Army’s Operation Sindoor. After four days, both countries agreed to an understanding to stop firing.
