Bhavnagar : Whether It’s Chip Or Ship, Make It In India Says PM Narendra Modi

Bhavnagar : Prime Minister Narendra Modi visited Bhavnagar and held a road show. PM addressed the people of Bhavnagar and then left for Lothal from Bhavnagar. A crowd of his supporters and fans gathered in the city. He attended the ‘Samudra Se Samruddhi’ program organized here and gifted the countrymen with development works worth more than one lakh crores.

The Prime Minister said that it is imperative for India to become self-reliant to develop by the year 2047. He gave the slogan ‘Whether it is a chip or a ship, we will have to make it in India’ and said that with this idea, today India is going to carry out the next generation reform in the maritime sector. Announcing a historic decision, he said that now the government has recognized large ships as infrastructure, which will strengthen the country’s maritime sector.

PM Modi, in a strong attack on the Congress government, said that after independence, Congress ignored every potential of India, due to which even after 6-7 decades, India could not achieve the success it deserved. He gave two major reasons for this: For a long time, the Congress government kept the country trapped in the license-quota raj and isolated the country from the global market, which caused great loss to the youth.

Addressing the people of Bhavnagar, the Prime Minister said that he has come here at a time when the festival of Navratri is about to begin. He said that this time due to the reduction in GST, more splendor will be seen in the markets and in this festive atmosphere, we are celebrating the ‘Great Festival of Prosperity from the Sea’.

The Prime Minister further added that now is the time to make trade and business easier. He said that during the recent monsoon session of Parliament, we have changed many old laws that have been in force since the time of the British. Reforms have also been made in the maritime sector. These new laws are likely to bring about a big change in the shipping sector, which will give more momentum to this sector.

There is a saying in Gujarati, one medicine for 100 sorrows, and in my opinion, there is only one medicine for these 100 sorrows – ‘Aatmanirbhar Bharat’. He emphasized that to become self-reliant, we will have to face challenges and continuously reduce our dependence on other countries. India will have to stand strong against the world by becoming self-reliant. This is the only way to secure our future.
