Google Gemini Introduces In-Chat File Creation And Download Feature For Seamless Productivity

Google has rolled out a new capability for its Gemini app, enabling users to create and download files directly within a chat interface. The update is designed to simplify workflows by allowing users to generate complete documents without needing to switch between applications.

With this feature, users can produce a variety of file types—including PDFs, Microsoft Word documents, spreadsheets, and text files—simply by entering prompts. Once generated, these files can either be downloaded instantly to a device or exported to Google Drive for further use. This removes the earlier requirement of copying and pasting content into external tools for formatting and saving. 

The enhancement supports multiple formats such as Docs, Slides, Word, PDF, TXT, and RTF, making it versatile for different productivity needs. By integrating file creation into the chat itself, Gemini aims to offer a more streamlined and efficient experience for users working on documents, presentations, or data-related tasks.
