Find out when Virat and Rohit will be seen playing again

Visakhapatnam: India’s current batting greats Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma remain crucial to the team’s revival, but the unfortunate reality is that both stalwarts have already retired from Test and T20 cricket. As a result, millions of cricket fans are eager to know when they will next be seen in action.

With the ODI series against South Africa having concluded just yesterday, Virat is likely to return to London to be with his family (his second home in England), while Rohit Sharma is expected to spend time with his wife Ritika and their two children. However, their countless fans will keenly await their return to the field.

The two uncrowned kings of ODI cricket — Virat and Rohit — have completed their 2025 mission. They are now expected to be seen in international matches only at the beginning of 2026. They may be seen playing in the Vijay Hazare Trophy, but their next international appearances are slated for early 2026.

In the three-match ODI series against South Africa, Rohit scored a total of 146 runs, while Virat Kohli amassed 302 runs with the help of two centuries and won the Man of the Series award.

Team India will now shift focus to the five-match home T20 series against South Africa starting Tuesday, December 9. However, Virat and Rohit are expected to return to action in ODIs next month.

India’s New Year assignment will begin with a home ODI series against New Zealand starting on January 11, 2026. The first ODI between India and New Zealand will be played in Vadodara. The day-night match will begin at 1:30 PM. After the three-match series, Virat and Rohit are expected to step away from the national team again to spend time with their families.
