This Player Ignored Thrice by IPL His Now a World Record Holder of Most Sixes in an Innings
Finn Allen’s Explosive T20 Century in MLC

Auckland: New Zealand’s power-hitter Finn Allen has grabbed the spotlight across the cricketing world. Despite being ignored in the IPL auction for the third straight season, he made a thundering comeback on the opening day of the Major League Cricket (MLC) season in the USA, setting a new world record.
Most Sixes in a T20 Innings
Playing for San Francisco Unicorns, Finn Allen smashed a whirlwind 151 runs off just 51 balls, including 19 sixes and 5 fours. With this, he broke the previous world record for most (18) sixes in a single T20 innings, which was jointly held by Chris Gayle (in 2017 in BPL) and Sahil Chauhan (For Estonia against Cyprus in 2024).
Fastest 150 in T20 History
Allen also broke the record for the fastest 150 in T20s, reaching the milestone in just 49 balls, surpassing the previous record of 52 balls held by Dewald Brevis. His strike rate stood at an unbelievable 297.07, earning him the Player of the Match award.
San Francisco Unicorns’ Big Win
Thanks to Finn Allen’s fiery knock, San Francisco Unicorns posted a massive 269/5 in 20 overs – the highest team total in MLC history. Under captain Corey Anderson, the Unicorns bowled out Washington Freedom for just 146 runs, securing a dominant 123-run victory.
Maxwell, Rachin & Rauf Highlights
Rachin Ravindra top-scored for Washington with 42 runs.
Haris Rauf and Hasan Khan took three wickets each for San Francisco.
Washington’s captain Glenn Maxwell (5 runs) failed to make an impact.
