Sinner’s Dominant Run Continues
Fresh off finals at the Australian Open, French Open, and Wimbledon in 2025, Sinner sealed his place in the US Open final with a commanding performance against the 25th-seeded Auger-Aliassime at Arthur Ashe Stadium. The Italian cruised through the first set, dropping just one game. Although Auger-Aliassime fought back to claim the second set, Sinner regained control, capitalizing on a crucial break in the fourth game of the final set to clinch the match. This marks Sinner’s fifth straight major final, with three titles and a loss at the French Open, where he held match points.
Alcaraz Sets Up Blockbuster Final
Carlos Alcaraz advanced to his third major final of 2025, overcoming Novak Djokovic in a 6-4, 7-6, 6-2 semifinal win. The victory sets the stage for a highly anticipated clash with Sinner, marking their third Grand Slam final matchup this year, each on a different surface.
