IPL 2026 Auction Complete List: Prithvi Shaw Unsold In Both Rounds, CSK Secure Bargain Sarfaraz Deal

The IPL 2026 mini auction witnessed explosive bidding in its opening phase, with Cameron Green, Matheesha Pathirana, Ravi Bishnoi and Venkatesh Iyer commanding premium prices. The auction’s latter half saw Jammu and Kashmir pacer Auqib Nabi, Uttar Pradesh all-rounder Prashant Veer, and Rajasthan wicketkeeper Kartik Sharma trigger fierce bidding wars.

Delhi Capitals secured Nabi for ₹8.40 crore after his base price of ₹30 lakh sparked competition with Sunrisers Hyderabad. Chennai Super Kings acquired Veer for a staggering ₹14.20 crore, then matched that identical sum for uncapped keeper Kartik Sharma, making both players joint-record holders as the most expensive uncapped purchases in IPL auction history.

Australian all-rounder Cameron Green, registered as a specialist batter for this auction, predictably ignited the day’s first bidding battle in Abu Dhabi on Tuesday. Kolkata Knight Riders and Rajasthan Royals initially competed before Chennai Super Kings entered contention. KKR ultimately prevailed with a ₹25.20 crore bid, establishing Green as the costliest overseas acquisition in IPL auction history.

South Africa’s David Miller became the auction’s first sale, surprisingly going to Delhi Capitals at his ₹2 crore base price. Jake Fraser-McGurk, Devon Conway, Sarfaraz Khan and Prithvi Shaw initially found no buyers. While Shaw and Sarfaraz going unsold raised eyebrows, both players were expected to attract franchises later in proceedings.

Set 2’s anticipated contest centered on India’s Venkatesh Iyer, who fetched ₹23.75 crore last year. Four franchises pursued Iyer, with Royal Challengers Bengaluru outbidding KKR, Gujarat Titans and Lucknow Super Giants to acquire him for ₹7 crore—significantly below his previous valuation.

CSK’s Matheesha Pathirana commanded substantial attention as Kolkata Knight Riders leveraged their budget to outbid Lucknow Super Giants with an impressive ₹18 crore offer.

Leg-spinner Ravi Bishnoi joined Rajasthan Royals for ₹7.2 crore, exceeding the KBC prize money by ₹20 lakh.

KKR, seeking a specialist wicketkeeper-batter, passed on England’s Jamie Smith, who remained unsold, but acquired New Zealand’s Finn Allen at his ₹2 crore base price. Ben Duckett moved to Delhi Capitals, while South Africa’s Quinton de Kock returned to Mumbai Indians for ₹1 crore.

A total of 369 players entered the auction pool, with 10 franchises filling 77 roster positions using a combined purse of ₹237.55 crore.
