Heated Exchange at IML T20 Final: Yuvraj Singh and Tino Best Clash, Separated by Brian Lara

The International Masters League 2025 wrapped up on Sunday in Raipur as Sachin Tendulkar-led India Masters clinched the title with a six-wicket victory over West Indies Masters. However, the match was not without its drama.

During the game, a heated argument broke out between Yuvraj Singh and West Indies’ Tino Best. The altercation began when Best, concerned about a potential injury, wanted to leave the field after completing his over. Yuvraj flagged the matter with the umpire, and Billy Bowden intervened, asking Best to return. This led to a confrontation between the two players, with Best aggressively closing in on Yuvraj. The dispute escalated until West Indies captain Brian Lara stepped in to separate the duo, while Ambati Rayudu was also seen urging Best to calm down.

Former England pacer Darren Gough, who was commentating on the match, remarked, “Tino Best is a player who never backs down, and when two such determined players clash, conflicts are bound to happen.”

The tension eased during the second strategic time-out when Yuvraj was seen playfully patting Best on the back, signaling a brief reconciliation.

In the final, India Masters comfortably chased down a target of 149 with six wickets remaining and 17 balls to spare. Ambati Rayudu scored a crucial 74 runs to steer the chase, while Vinay Kumar and Shahbaz Nadeem contributed with crucial wickets. On the other side, West Indies Masters managed a total of 148/7 in their 20 overs, with notable performances from Lendl Simmons (57 runs) and Dwayne Smith (45 runs). Sachin Tendulkar, the match-winning captain, played a steady inning, scoring 25 runs off 18 balls, including two fours and a six.

Earlier in the tournament, India Masters had also defeated Australia Masters in the semi-final, setting the stage for an exciting final that mixed competitive cricket with unexpected on-field drama.
