RCB Cricketer Yash Dayal Accused of Raping Minor in Jaipur, Second Case Filed

JAIPUR: Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) fast bowler Yash Dayal has been named in a second First Information Report (FIR) for allegedly sexually assaulting a minor girl in Jaipur, following a prior rape accusation in Ghaziabad, Uttar Pradesh. The latest complaint, filed on July 23, 2025, at Sanganer Sadar police station, accuses the IPL cricketer of repeatedly raping a then-17-year-old girl in 2023 and again in April 2025.

The FIR, registered under Section 64 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS), which carries a minimum 10-year prison term, and relevant sections of the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act, alleges that Dayal exploited the complainant under the pretense of aiding her cricket career. Anil Kumar Jaiman, Station House Officer (SHO) at Sanganer Sadar, confirmed the cricketer’s identity and stated that the assaults reportedly occurred multiple times in 2023 and at a Jaipur hotel in April 2025 during an IPL engagement. “The complainant alleges that Dayal lured her with promises of career support and raped her repeatedly, starting when she was a minor,” Jaiman said.

A senior police official noted that the case was promptly registered after the survivor came forward to report the alleged assaults. This follows a separate FIR filed earlier in July 2025 in Ghaziabad, where a woman accused Dayal of exploiting her under false promises of marriage.
