Harmanpreet Kaur Completes 9,000 International Runs, Creates Unique Record at Lord’s

London: India women’s captain Harmanpreet Kaur achieved two major milestones during the historic Women’s Test against England at Lord’s Cricket Ground.

She completed 9,000 international runs and also became the first Indian woman cricketer to score a half-century at Lord’s in all three international formats Tests, ODIs and T20Is. The feat is unmatched by any other Indian woman and places her in an elite group of cricketers.

Achievement Previously Managed by Only Three Male Cricketers

Only three male cricketers have previously scored 50 or more runs at Lord’s in all three international formats Pakistan’s Younis Khan and Sri Lanka’s legendary duo Mahela Jayawardene and Kumar Sangakkara.

Harmanpreet reached the landmark after scoring 58 runs in the first innings of the first-ever Women’s Test at Lord’s on Friday. She had earlier scored 50 runs in an ODI against England at the same venue in 2012. More recently, on June 28, she made 56 runs against Australia in a Women’s T20 World Cup match at Lord’s.
