In Hinduism, one of the most auspicious days is considered to be Purnima where the moon is at its highest point and radiates energy everywhere. On this day every devotee observes Satyanarayana puja followed by fast and praying lord Vishnu. This day is purely dedicated to deity Chandrama where devotees perform spiritual and religious practices. People take bath in holy Ganga performing charity, distributing foods and clothes, etc .
