New Delhi : A 35-year-old man was murdered in southwest Delhi’s Dwarka by his wife and her lover, who is also her brother-in-law, police said on Saturday. Karan was found dead under suspicious circumstances on July 13, prompting a police investigation that ultimately led to the arrest of Sushmita and Rahul for conspiring to kill him.
The murder came to light when Sushmita informed Karan’s family that he had been electrocuted and was unconscious. He was rushed to a nearby hospital, where doctors declared him dead. The circumstances raised suspicion and police sent the body for a post-mortem examination. However, Sushmita, Rahul and his father reportedly resisted the autopsy, further deepening the family’s doubts.
In the chats, Rahul can be seen instructing the woman on what to do and asking her to give more medicine, likely sedatives, to kill her husband. Investigations revealed that Sushmita and Rahul had been in a relationship for the past two years. In one of the chat messages, Sushmita asked Rahul, “Check how long it takes to die after taking the medicine. It’s been three hours since he ate, but there’s no vomiting, no potty, nothing. And he hasn’t died yet either.”
What should we do? Do you have any suggestions?” she asked. Rahul replied, If you can’t think of anything else, give him an electric shock. Sushmita: How should I tie him up to give the shock? Rahul: Use tape. Sushmita: “His breathing is very slow.” Rahul: “Give him all the medicine you have.” Sushmita: “I can’t get his mouth open. I can pour water in, but I can’t give the medicine. You come here, maybe we can manage to feed it to him together.”
