Grisly Discovery in Haryana: Woman’s Body Unearthed Near In-Laws’ Home

In a chilling incident, authorities in Faridabad, Haryana, uncovered the decomposed remains of a young woman buried in a 10-foot-deep pit on a residential street on Friday. The body was identified as that of 24-year-old Tanu, originally from Shikohabad, Uttar Pradesh.

The gruesome find required the use of an excavator to exhume the body from the ditch, located near the home of Tanu’s in-laws. According to local residents, the pit was dug in April by Tanu’s father-in-law, who claimed it was intended to address drainage issues for the household. Neighbors told police and reporters that shortly after the pit was excavated, it was swiftly covered with a cement slab.

A neighbor, recalled the events: “Everyone in the neighborhood saw the pit being dug. He said it was for dirty water. After that, the daughter-in-law was never seen again. Some of us thought something was wrong, but no one could imagine this.”

The discovery has sent shockwaves through the community, raising questions about the circumstances surrounding Tanu’s death and the delay in uncovering the crime. Police are continuing their investigation, with further details yet to emerge.
