Will Go To England If war breaks out with India: Pakistani MP In Viral video, Tensions Rise Between India and Pakistan After Pahalgam Attack

New Delhi: Amid rising tensions between India and Pakistan following the terror attack in Jammu and Kashmir’s Pahalgam that killed 26 people, a Pakistani politician has said that he would flee to England if war breaks out between the two countries. Sher Afzal Khan Marwat, a member of Pakistan’s National Assembly, was responding to a reporter who asked if he would go to the border with a gun in case of war with India.
His reply went viral on social media with many saying even the Pakistani politicians don’t trust their Army. Marwat was earlier a member of jailed former Prime Minister Imran Khan’s Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf. However, repeated criticism of the party and its leadership led to his removal from key posts by Imran Khan.
The Resistance Front (TRF), an offshoot of the Lashkar-e-Taiba, claimed responsibility for the attack. Eyewitnesses said the terrorists emerged from the surrounding pine forests and fired at people picnicking, riding ponies, or eating at food stalls. Most of the victims were tourists, including two foreigners from the UAE and Nepal, and two locals.
In the wake of the Pahalgam terror attack, India took a series of sweeping diplomatic and strategic countermeasures against Pakistan, including the effective downgrading of diplomatic relations with Pakistan, closure of key border routes.
