What Raids At Home Of Jaish-Linked Doctor’s Brother Turned Up

New Delhi : A joint team of the Uttar Pradesh Police and Anti-Terrorism Squad (ATS) have recovered six mobile phones, three knives, an international calling card and other digital devices from the house of Parvez Ansari, the brother of doctor Shaheen Shahid. The raid at Ansari’s house in Lucknow is part of an ongoing investigation into the suspected activities linked to the powerful Red Fort blast.

Ansari, who is a teacher at the Integral University in Lucknow, tried to flee after Shaheen was arrested on Monday night. He, however, was detained and is currently being questioned. According to investigators, the phones were allegedly used by Ansari to communicate with contacts in Jammu, while the international card was used to speak to foreign-based handlers.

Ansari had also developed a special system intended to prevent signal tracing. This system was reportedly designed to avoid detection by authorities, making it harder to track communications carried out through the recovered devices. The officers also recovered a computer which had a secret disk. Authorities believe this disk may contain substantial evidence and relevant digital files related to the ongoing investigation.

In addition to the electronic devices, the ATS located three large knives. Authorities are assessing whether these weapons were used for any illicit activities or if they were intended for later use. Shortly after his detention, authorities also seized Ansari’s vehicle, which was registered in Saharanpur where officials traced the activities of another terror module suspect, Adil Ahmad, who was arrested on November 7 by the Jammu and Kashmir Police.
