Viral CCTV Footage Shows Employee Suffers Heart Attack, Dies at Workplace as Boss Looks On

A shop worker in Madhya Pradesh’s Agar Malwa district died from a heart attack while his employer, seated just feet away, scrolled through his phone and failed to offer assistance. The incident occurred on Monday at Tirupati Traders in Susner.
Rafiq Khan, 45, suddenly collapsed into his chair, clutching his chest. For nearly six minutes, the employee struggled to breathe and was visibly in distress. Despite his condition, no one at the scene, including the shop owner, intervened to help him.
CCTV Footage Sparks Outrage
Security camera footage from the shop, which has since gone viral, shows Khan gasping for air. The owner is seen occasionally looking in his direction but remains seated and focused on his mobile phone. The video evidence confirms the owner did not stand up or attempt to provide any form of aid during the crisis. Khan was eventually rushed to a hospital, where doctors pronounced him dead upon arrival.
Family Alleges Overwork and Negligence
The tragic event has left Khan’s family devastated and angry. They, along with hundreds of local residents, gathered at the Susner Police Station to demand justice.
The family claims his death was a result of criminal negligence, asserting that Khan was routinely forced to lift excessively heavy loads by the shop owner and his son. They believe this physical strain directly triggered the fatal heart attack.
A relative of the victim stated, “He was crying in pain and asking for help. Instead of taking him to a hospital, they told others to just keep working. We want justice for Rafiq. The owner did not even get up from his chair.”
