Monsoon Showers and Scorching Heat: IMD Issues Alerts for Multiple States

The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecasted significant weather activity across India for the upcoming week, with heavy rainfall expected in several regions and heatwave conditions gripping parts of Odisha and Rajasthan. According to the IMD, isolated areas in states such as Chhattisgarh, Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh, Goa, Maharashtra, and Rajasthan are likely to experience very heavy rainfall accompanied by thunderstorms and lightning.
Northeastern states, particularly Assam and Meghalaya, are set to face intense downpours, with the IMD predicting heavy rain in these regions. Coastal areas across the country may also see light showers and thunderstorms, offering some relief from the ongoing heat.
Meanwhile, the IMD has warned of heatwave conditions in Odisha on Friday, with temperatures expected to soar. Western Rajasthan is also bracing for extreme heat from Saturday through Monday, prompting the weather agency to issue alerts for residents to take necessary precautions.
For the latest updates on weather conditions, including live radar and severe thunderstorm warnings, the IMD advises the public to stay informed through its official announcements.
