Krishnagiri – In a disturbing development that has stunned authorities and the local community, a mother and her female partner face murder charges after the alleged killing of the woman’s six-month-old infant, just days after the child’s father raised suspicions of foul play.
The tragedy unfolded earlier this month in Tamil Nadu’s Krishnagiri district, where the baby was initially reported to have died accidentally during a breastfeeding session. At the time, police filed a report classifying the incident as an unnatural death but opted against conducting a post-mortem examination. The infant’s body was subsequently interred on the family’s farmland, closing the case preliminarily.
However, the narrative shifted dramatically when the father, alerted by incriminating evidence on his wife’s phone, approached law enforcement. He presented messages, photographs, and videos documenting a romantic relationship between his wife and another woman. Convinced that this liaison played a role in the baby’s demise, he urged investigators to probe deeper, suggesting the child may have been deliberately harmed under relational strains.
