Surprise turned into death !
Merchant navy officer flew down to India to surprise his wife on birthday, just to get killed.
Meerut : A 35 year old Saurabh Rajput a Merchant Navy officer, was killed by his wife and lover in the Indiranagar area of Uttar Pradesh’ Meerut.
An Uttar Pradesh police officer said that ” A 35 year old Saurabh Rajput was killed by his wife and lover in the Indiranagar area of Uttar Pradesh’s Meerut on March 4. Rajput used to work in London a Merchant navy officer and flew back to India to celebrate his wife Muskan’s birthday.
The accused wife Muskan Rastogi and her lover Sahil Shukla alias Mohit had dismembered his body and had put the boy in the drum and sealed it with cement. The decomposed body of the victim was recovered 15 days later on Tuesday On march 18 from a rented house.
SP Ayush Vikram Singh sad that a person named Saurabh Rajput , working in merchant Navy, came home on March 4 and had been missing since then. On the basis of the suspicion, his wife Muskan and her partner Sahil were called for questioning.
” During the questioning, Sahil confessed that on March 4, he and Muskan stabbed Saurabh to death. They dismembered the body , put it in a drum and sealed it with cement. The police have recovered the body and sent it fora post-mortem. Sahil and Muskan have been arrested and an FIR has been registered. They will be produced before the court on Wednesday. Further legal action is underway”.
Saurabh and the accused wife Muskan had been married since 2016. Family members were not happy and did not agree to the marriage, due to which they stayed at the rented house. The couple had a six year old daughter. Both of the accused after killing Saurabh had left for a trip to the hill station. The wife had misled the Saurabh’s family by pretending he was alive. Muskan was using Saurabh’s mobile and was messaging his family to avoid suspicion while ignoring their repeated requests to speak to him. The crime was exposed when the police recovered Saurabh’s body from the drum.
