Rahul Gandhi’s Fresh Attack At Bihar SIR : Attempt To Steal Votes Of The Poor

New Delhi : Leader of the Opposition Rahul Gandhi on Sunday doubled down on his attack on the Election Commission in poll-bound Bihar. At a rally in Araria during the Voter Adhikar Yatra, with RJD’s Tejashwi Yadav by his side, Rahul Gandhi alleged that after privatising public sector units, the Narendra Modi government now wants to steal the votes of the poor.

Every person has one vote and all votes are equal. They are trying to steal votes,” he claimed. The INDIA bloc will not allow this to happen in Bihar. The Constitution guarantees equal rights to every citizen of the country… the SIR is anti-constitutional. The SIR is an institutionalised attempt by the EC to steal votes in the upcoming assembly polls in the state to help the saffron party, he added.

If they were neutral, then an affidavit would have been asked from Anurag Thakur. So it is not neutral…There is a partnership between the Election Commission, Election Commissioner and BJP, he said. The 1,300-km Voter Adhikar Yatra was launched on August 17 from Sasaram.
