Rahul Gandhi Rallies Congress Workers in Gujarat to Challenge RSS-BJP Dominance

Congress leader Rahul Gandhi, speaking to party workers in Modasa, Gujarat, on Wednesday, acknowledged a sense of low morale among the ranks but emphasized that only the Congress has the potential to overcome the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) and the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in the state.
Marking his second visit to Gujarat within a week, the Lok Sabha Leader of Opposition reaffirmed his party’s commitment to unseating the BJP, which has governed the western state for nearly three decades. Gandhi highlighted Gujarat’s significance as a key battleground for the Congress, a state where the party once held considerable influence.
Addressing booth-level workers in Arvalli district, Gandhi spoke after initiating a pilot project aimed at bolstering the party’s district-level organization. This effort is part of a broader strategy to revitalize the Congress in Gujarat ahead of the state assembly elections slated for late 2027.
“Gujarat holds immense importance for the Congress. Despite appearances of demoralization, we will triumph over the BJP here. I assure you, this is achievable, and only the Congress can defeat the RSS and BJP,” Gandhi told the assembled workers.
