Bathinda: Punjab Police have initiated a murder investigation following the discovery of social media personality Kamal Kaur’s body inside a parked vehicle near Adesh Medical University on Wednesday night.
Kaur, a Ludhiana resident with over 383,000 Instagram followers, was known for her regular reel posts, some of which had previously sparked controversy.
Preliminary police investigations suggest Kaur was likely murdered at a different location before her body was transported in a Ludhiana-registered car and abandoned at the university parking area. Nearby individuals reportedly alerted authorities after detecting a foul odor emanating from the vehicle.
Bathinda Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Amneet Kondal confirmed a forensic team has been summoned to assist the ongoing probe. “Prima facie evidence indicates suspicious circumstances. We are registering a First Information Report (FIR) under murder charges,” stated SSP Kondal.
