PM Modi To Meet All-Party Delegations, Part Of India’s Diplomatic Outreach On Operation Sindoor

New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi is expected to receive detailed briefings next week from seven multi-party delegations dispatched across 33 countries in the aftermath of the Pahalgam terror attack and the launch of Operation Sindoor. The review meeting is likely to take place in New Delhi on June 9 or 10, according to official sources.
In an unusual show of bipartisan cooperation, the Indian government had mobilized a diverse set of delegations comprising Members of Parliament, senior politicians, and diplomatic experts. Their mission: to engage with global stakeholders, convey India’s counter-terrorism stance, and build international consensus on the issue of cross-border terrorism.
Each delegation was spearheaded by a high-profile MP, representing a spectrum of political ideologies:
Ravi Shankar Prasad (Bharatiya Janata Party)
Shashi Tharoor (Indian National Congress)
Sanjay Kumar Jha (Janata Dal United)
Kanimozhi Karunanidhi (Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam)
Supriya Sule (Nationalist Congress Party)
Shrikant Eknath Shinde (Shiv Sena)
Baijayant Panda (BJP)
Sources say the delegations will not only brief the Prime Minister on their diplomatic efforts and meetings but also share insights into the tone, reception, and strategic feedback from foreign governments and institutions. Discussions reportedly ranged from regional stability to global security cooperation in light of the recent escalation.
In one key development ahead of the meeting with the Prime Minister, the team led by Baijayant Panda, which visited Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, Kuwait, and Algeria, is scheduled to meet External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar on June 3 at 2:30 PM to present a preliminary report of their engagements.
The outreach effort follows India’s firm military and diplomatic response to the deadly Pahalgam attack. Operation Sindoor, launched soon after the incident, marked a new phase in India’s counter-terror strategy, prompting wide-scale international engagement. Meanwhile, Prime Minister Modi is also slated to chair a crucial session of the Union Council of Ministers on June 4 at 4:30 PM, the first since Operation Sindoor was initiated.
