PM Modi Set for Two-Day Saudi Arabia Visit to Strengthen Strategic Ties

Prime Minister Narendra Modi's upcoming trip aims to enhance bilateral cooperation in energy, trade, and defence sectors, confirms Foreign Secretary Vikram Misri.

New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will embark on a two-day official visit to Saudi Arabia starting Tuesday, April 22, 2025, to strengthen the strategic partnership between the two nations, particularly in energy, trade, and defence.

During his visit, PM Modi is scheduled to meet Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman Al Saud. Following their discussions, the two leaders are expected to sign multiple agreements aimed at deepening bilateral collaboration.

Foreign Secretary Vikram Misri, speaking at a press briefing, highlighted the significance of this visit in reinforcing the already robust strategic relationship between India and Saudi Arabia. He added that the discussions would especially emphasize expanding cooperation in the energy sector, providing a strategic framework to India-Saudi Arabia ties.
