Modi: Current Policies Will Define India’s Next Millennium

Prime Minister Narendra Modi declared on Monday that the initiatives and decisions his administration is pursuing will profoundly influence India’s trajectory for the next 1,000 years. Speaking at an event marking Civil Services Day in New Delhi, Modi emphasized that India’s development must be inclusive, ensuring no village, family, or individual is overlooked.
“The choices we make today and the policies we implement will shape the course of the next millennium,” he stated.
Modi highlighted the ambitions of India’s youth, farmers, and women, noting that their aspirations are reaching unprecedented levels. He stressed the need for rapid progress to meet these expectations, saying, “Extraordinary aspirations demand extraordinary pace.”
The prime minister underscored that effective governance is measured by the tangible impact of programs on citizens’ lives. Reflecting on the past decade, he noted that India has transitioned from modest progress to transformative change, setting new standards in governance, transparency, and innovation.
In the era of technology, Modi said, governance extends beyond system management to unlocking vast opportunities. He cited India’s 2023 G20 Summit as an example, where the principle of ‘janbhagidari’ (people’s participation) transformed the event into a nationwide movement, earning global recognition.
Modi urged civil servants to prioritize the concerns of the underprivileged, listen to their needs, respect their perspectives, and focus on resolving their challenges.
