Modi emphasized that Mahavir’s teachings of non-violence, truth, and compassion remain a source of strength for countless individuals.
The Prime Minister reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to advancing the revered Jain figure’s vision. He highlighted last year’s decision to grant classical language status to Prakrit, a move widely praised within the community.
Modi expressed deep respect for Mahavir, stating, “We pay homage to Bhagwan Mahavir, whose emphasis on non-violence, truth, and compassion guides people worldwide.” He also praised the Jain community for preserving and promoting Mahavir’s teachings, noting their significant contributions across various fields and their dedication to societal welfare.
