“Nitin Nabin He Is My Boss”: PM Modi Praises Youngest BJP’s President

Prime Minister Narendra Modi extended a warm welcome to Nitin Nabin, the youngest individual to assume the role of Bharatiya Janata Party national president, describing him as a millennial leader equipped to advance the party’s mission while addressing BJP workers on Tuesday.

In a notable statement emphasizing party hierarchy, Modi declared that within the organizational structure, Nabin holds the position of authority while he himself serves as a party worker. “When it is about the party, Nitin Nabin is the boss, and I am a party worker,” the Prime Minister told assembled party members.

Modi praised the 45-year-old leader’s ability to execute every responsibility assigned to him with dedication, while highlighting the generational perspective he brings to the role. The Prime Minister characterized Nabin as representing a generation that witnessed India’s profound economic, social, and technological evolution firsthand.

“To put it in the language of today’s youth, Nitin ji himself is, in a way, a millennial. He belongs to the generation that has witnessed major economic, social, and technological transformations in India. He belongs to the generation that received information from the radio in their childhood and is now an active user of AI,” Modi stated.

The Prime Minister emphasized that Nabin’s combination of youthful vitality and substantial organizational experience would prove advantageous for every party member. Born in 1980, Nabin technically falls on the borderline of the millennial generation, which typically encompasses individuals born between 1981 and 1996.

Nabin, son of the late BJP leader and former MLA Nabin Kishore Prasad Sinha, brings impressive electoral credentials to his new national role. He has maintained an unbroken winning streak as a five-time MLA representing the Bankipur Assembly Constituency in Bihar.

Modi outlined that the BJP president’s responsibilities extend beyond internal party management to include maintaining coordination across the National Democratic Alliance. Describing the party as both a culture and family unit, the Prime Minister asserted that BJP provides opportunities for political newcomers.

“The BJP is a culture. The BJP is a family. Here, we have relationships that go beyond mere membership. The BJP is a tradition that is driven by process, not by position,” Modi elaborated, adding that while leadership transitions occur, the party’s core principles and direction remain constant.

The Prime Minister emphasized the party’s national character stems from its local connections and deep-rooted presence across India’s diverse regions. He stated that BJP serves as a platform where regional aspirations form the foundation for national ambitions, making it an attractive entry point for those beginning their political careers.

Nabin secured the BJP presidency unopposed after being the sole candidate in the organizational election. He succeeds JP Nadda, who currently serves as a Union Minister in the central government. At the time his candidacy was announced, Nabin held the road and construction, along with urban development portfolios in Bihar’s NDA government led by Nitish Kumar. The 45-year-old subsequently resigned from his ministerial positions to contest the BJP presidential election.
