MEA Demands Pakistan Withdraw from Illegally Occupied Indian Land, Denounces False Claims on Kashmir

NEW DELHI: India’s Ministry of External Affairs has fired back at Pakistan after Islamabad dismissed Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s comments on India-Pakistan relations as “misleading and one-sided.” MEA spokesperson Randhir Jaiswal asserted that Pakistan’s own backing of cross-border terrorism remains the primary hurdle to regional peace and security.
Jaiswal stated, “Pakistan has once again commented on the status of Jammu and Kashmir, but the real issue is its active role in promoting and supporting terrorism across borders.” He went on to criticize Pakistan for spreading falsehoods, arguing that instead of deceiving the public, it should withdraw from Indian territory, which it occupies illegally.
Modi had previously described Pakistan as the “epicenter of terrorism” and noted that every effort by India to foster reconciliation has been met with resistance. In response, Pakistan has accused India of stirring trouble on its soil and engaging in state-backed oppression in Jammu and Kashmir, along with orchestrating targeted assassinations, subversion, and acts of terrorism in foreign lands.
