The video, originally posted to YouTube in June 2024, documents a series of questionable behaviors during Malhotra’s visit to China. These incidents include compelling a fellow passenger to surrender his window seat on a bullet train, mounting a stranger’s scooter and demanding transportation, commandeering another woman’s bicycle before riding it on a motorway, using public transportation without paying fares, and expressing frustration that Chinese citizens did not speak English.
This footage has gained renewed attention on social media platforms after Malhotra’s arrest on espionage charges. The resurfaced video has prompted fresh criticism, with viewers condemning the Haryana-based vlogger for potentially damaging India’s international reputation through her conduct in a foreign country.
