Indrajaal Ranger: India’s First AI-Powered Mobile Anti-Drone Patrol Vehicle Unveiled In Hyderabad – Major Defence Milestone
Hyderabad: India’s border security received a significant upgrade as Hyderabad-based Indrajaal Drone Defence on Wednesday introduced Indrajaal Ranger, the nation’s first fully mobile, AI-powered anti-drone patrol vehicle. Built to detect, track, and neutralize hostile drones while in motion, the system arrives amid escalating cross-border drone smuggling of weapons, explosives, and narcotics, representing a transformative advancement in India’s counter-drone and national security infrastructure.

“Smugglers no longer cross borders on foot; they cross through the air in minutes. Indrajaal Ranger is India’s answer to this new battlefield,” stated Kiran Raju, founder and CEO of Indrajaal Drone Defence.
Addressing Escalating Drone Threats
The unveiling responds to recent security incidents that underscore the dangers posed by drones including cross-border drone trafficking connected to Pakistan’s ISI, where weapons have been smuggled deep into Indian territory.

The Border Security Force (BSF) has neutralized 255 Pakistani drones this year, emphasizing the role of drones in India’s Rs 3-lakh-crore drug-trafficking network.
The Indrajaal Ranger functions as a purpose-built combat vehicle capable of:
- On-the-move drone detection
- Real-time patrolling and surveillance
- Autonomous threat assessment through AI
- Instant interception and neutralization
- Seamless coverage across border roads, canals, agricultural belts, critical infrastructure, and urban areas
Technical Specifications
Mounted on an all-terrain 4×4 platform and powered by the SkyOS™ autonomy engine, the Indrajaal Ranger features:
- Detection radius: 10 km
- Cyber takeover of drones: 5 km radius
- Jamming/soft-kill: 3 km radius
- Interceptor drone deployment: 2 km radius
The system integrates multiple detection and mitigation technologies, including a cyber takeover unit that can remotely control rogue drones, GNSS spoofing to disrupt navigation signals, RF jamming tools, and kinetic kill mechanisms. The SkyOS command center enables autonomous operation, allowing detection to neutralization within seconds.
During the launch event, Lieutenant General Devendra Pratap Pandey (Retd), former GOC of the Srinagar-based Chinar Corps, praised the vehicle as a “shield to protect Indian citizens,” underscoring its importance for national security.
