IndiGo Flights Disrupted Amid India’s Operation Sindoor Strikes on Terror Camps

Flight operations by IndiGo to several northern destinations, including Srinagar, Jammu, and Amritsar, were affected on Wednesday following India’s targeted strikes on terror camps in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir under Operation Sindoor.

In a post on X, IndiGo confirmed the disruption, stating, “Due to changing airspace conditions in the region, our flights to and from Srinagar, Jammu, Amritsar, Leh, Chandigarh, and Dharamshala are impacted.” The airline later added that flights to and from Bikaner were also affected due to current airspace restrictions.

India launched precision strikes at nine identified locations linked to planned terror operations. According to the government, the operation was “focused, measured, and non-escalatory,” emphasizing that no Pakistani military assets were targeted.

The Ministry of Defence issued a formal statement, highlighting that the strikes were a direct response to the recent Pahalgam terror attack, which claimed the lives of 25 Indian nationals and one Nepali citizen. “We are fulfilling our pledge to ensure those behind the attack are held accountable,” the ministry said, adding that a comprehensive briefing on Operation Sindoor will follow later in the day.
